Summer is about to get a whole lot hotter on July 20th when MTV and Universal Republic Records unleash this year’s sexiest non-stop mixtape, the JERSEY SHORE SOUNDTRACK. Designed to help fans “beat up the beat”, the entire album blends together to give listeners the feel of their very own in-house DJ.
Featuring a scorching new track from the show’s very own DJ Pauly D, Rhode Island’s most-slammin’ DJ, the JERSEY SHORE SOUNDTRACK has been customized to continuously pump out party music tailored for the club, the beach and beyond.
The JERSEY SHORE SOUNDTRACK’s first single, “I Like It” by Enrique Iglesias featuring Pitbull is shooting up the Top 40 charts, with over 100 Top 40 stations spinning the track, including KIIS Los Angeles and New York’s Z100. Co-written and produced by the award-winning RedOne [Lady Gaga], “I Like It” is the anthem of the summer, bringing together two of the most important and prominent Latin artists in modern pop culture on one explosive track. Enrique Iglesias still holds the record for #1 Spanish-Language Singles on the Billboard Latin Chart with a historic 21 chart-toppers, and this song continues his tradition. “I Like It” has served as the perfect introduction to the JERSEY SHORE SOUNDTRACK since it hit iTunes on May 4th.
However, the fun doesn’t stop with Enrique Iglesias and DJ Pauly D. The JERSEY SHORE SOUNDTRACK also showcases some of the hottest new cuts from Lil Jon, 3OH!3, David Guetta, Fergie, Taio Cruz, LMFAO, Ludacris, Paul Oakenfold, Jersey Shore featured artist- Midi Mafia and many more. Lil Jon’s “Hey” Feat. 3OH!3 is also generating heat of its own, having debuted at #5 on iTunes Hip-Hop/Rap charts without being serviced to radio.
“Jersey Shore” faithful can also anticipate receiving music inspired by the wildly popular Season One, including the shows raucous theme song, “Get Crazy,” by LMFAO.
“Jersey Shore” Season 2 will premiere on Thursday, July 29th at 10pm ET/PT. “Jersey Shore- The Complete Season One UNCENSORED” DVD will also be available nationwide on Tuesday, July 20th the same day the soundtrack hits shelves.

Santa Monica, CA/New York, NY – July 20, 2010 — MTV and Universal Republic Records dropped this summer’s sonic blockbuster, the JERSEY SHORE SOUNDTRACK, today, July 20th 2010. It’s the only place you can hear today’s hottest artists—Lil Jon, LMFAO, and Pitbull—in one continuous mix. The brand new collection of sizzling dance and pop tracks are inspired by Snooki, The Situation, Pauly D and the rest of the gang. Even if you don’t live in Jersey, you can rock to this.
Rather than simply slapping together a bunch of modern hits, Universal Republic enlisted the talents of noted producer, DJ, and remixer Jason Nevins to ensure that the JERSEY SHORE SOUNDTRACK would play as one non-stop mix. This one-of-a-kind set of bouncin’ and bangin’ tracks definitely evokes some of the show’s most memorable moments “in the club.” JERSEY SHORE’s very own Pauly D even offered up his “Beat Dat Beat (It’s Time To)” for the propulsive playlist. Bumping continuously, there’s never a dull moment, and this mix will light up your beach party or night on the town.
Pauly D’s song isn’t the only exclusive included though. The soundtrack also features previously unreleased remixes from dance and pop trend-setters such as Paul Oakenfold (“Pump It Up”), Kid Sister Ft. Nina Sky (“Look Out Weekend”), Girlicious (“Drank”), Jersey Shore featured artist- Midi Mafia (“Last Call”) and Tiesto vs. Diplo (“Come On”). With Nevins’ deft remix alchemy, all of the songs fit snugly together for maximum audio ecstasy.
“I Like It,” the JERSEY SHORE SOUNDTRACK’s first single from Enrique Iglesias featuring Pitbull, immediately infiltrated clubs and beaches nationwide, becoming one of the summer’s biggest “fist-pumpers”, garnering spins on over 100 radio stations and hitting both the U.S. and U.K.’s Top 10 charts.
The JERSEY SHORE SOUNDTRACK also features a combination of number one singles (Lil Jon featuring 3OH!3’s “Hey,” David Guetta featuring Fergie’s “Getting’ Over You”) and, of course, there’s LMFAO’s “Get Crazy,” the show’s raucous theme song whose lyrics “Get crazy/Get wild/Let’s party/Get loud” always let viewers know what’s in store every installment.
